RemDawg's Pal - Wally!
By Bosoxy on - Updated Mar 30, 2012Wally is the mascot of the Boston Red Sox.
Fenway Park, where the Red Sox play, is well known for the big green wall that is known as the Green Monster. Wally (get it?) is a green monster named after the wall.
Jerry Remy travels with a mine 6 Wally. Remy - AKA the RemDawg - sells these Wally dolls on his site, theremyreport.com,which he personally autographs before packing one up and sending it to your home for the perfectly reasonable price of $14.95.
I, of course, had to have my own Wally doll.
Wally is very well made. He is sort of a bean bag doll and he comes wearing his favorite teams apparel, including hat.
My Wally doll is about 4 years old and a bit dusty. He sits in his very own Adirondack chair (I also purchased this on theremyreport.com for $24.95) on top of my television set. When the Red Sox games are going well he sits in his chair properly, on his behind. When our games are going no so grand, he stands on his head in the chair, rallying for the team.
I absolutely love my Wally and cannot watch a game without him! Having him sitting on top of my television year round may seem a bit odd to some, but it is comforting, especially in the later part of the off season when I am desperately hoping to see a game any game!
Plus hes cute!
Go Red Sox!
Update On Apr 24, 2008: Pictures of Wally have been added!
The back shows the signature of Jerry Remy.
Adirondack chair is not included. I will be reviewing the chair soon!

I'm really not a sport's fan, but I love your Wally doll! He's smaller than I expected, but he sure is cute. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your doll....they make Wally come "alive". Love the one on his head!
What a fun collectible, and to have it autographed - very cool.
No Wally for me Bosoxy! You know I need a Yankee doll. OK... it's cute.
We have lots of collectibles. But I can say I dont have wally doll. It is cute though.
I love Wally and your rituals with him when you're watching the games. I am a big sports fan. I grew up in Windsor, Ontario, the closest sports teams to me were Detroit teams. I just finished rooting the Red Wings to victory.
