Remote Control Holden Ute Electric By theuniGuy on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
A good year or so ago, i purchased an Electric Radio Controlled Holden Ute from a local Hobby shop. This purchase was due to bordeom and my growing interest with cars and the drifting scene". At a price of $199, including all necessary start up gear, the car isn't a cheap purchase and i believe not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.
This is simple because these cars are very delicate if driven rough, and if taken into a wall, or over a bump at high speeds, repairs can become very costly $$$.
The car is red in colour, has:
- a top speed of about 50km an hr
- Changeable tyres for different conditions
- Rechargeable battery with about 15 minutes of good run time, without being too agressive.
- Same chassie as the drifting cars that cost upwards of $250.
The car as a whole is perfect, however for the car to be any fun, it's good to purchase 2 extra batteries, that will come at about $40 all up from only stores, as well as $25 - $30 worth of spares, such as wheel arch joints.
For those wanting a time killer and a bit of fun on the side, this is for you. However if your after a car that does 70+km an hr, good at races as well as lasting forever, this may as well not be looked at.
Whatever you decide, get the cheaper car, buy the holden ute :)
