Resident Evil 4

Easily the scariest video game in the entire series, Resident Evil 4 managed to prove that survival horror only needed a little injection of adrenaline to keep the genre from floundering in the obscurity of tactical shooters and revamped action titles. While many puzzles have been sacrificed for raw action, Resident Evil 4 manages to keep you at the edge of your seat or tucked into the deepest corner it can provide.

Oddly enough, even though the game adopts a new over the shoulder view, it still maintains the exact same control scheme, which at first doesnt fit, but is easily adjusted to. Fans of the other games in the series will be able to adapt fairly quickly. Beside the main story, which will take you between 8-14 hours to complete, theres a bevy of extra features. From modes that are devoted specifically to action to an entirely separate story.

Resident Evil 4 is easily one of the best games to ever be released and is still a great deal of fun to play with all of the lights off.
