Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles By harleyquinn on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is a game every Resident Evil fan must own. The game chronicles the Umbrella Corporation which is the company responsible for the viral outbreak that players follow through the Resident Evil games. The game is a rail shooter. You are on a fixed path and your focus is shooting zombies and finding hidden loot throughout each level. You go through familiar levels of the old games along with a final completely new level. So what if you've never played a RE game? This could be the way to start. This game is easier than the other games and allows you to catch up with the story of the former games. Not every game is represented in this adventure, but you can get an idea of the atmosphere of the series. I've had trouble playing previous games, because the control scheme is rough, but there's nothing to it in this game. Anyone can do it.

This game is fantastic in 2-player mode. It can be extremely difficult for one player, but two people can clear the game with relative ease. There are also three levels of difficulty. I had the best time shooting zombies with my husband. I usually don't like to play games with him, because he always beats me, but here we worked together and had tons of fun.

The game is spooky and entertaining. I jumped out of my skin on more than one occasion. Even when I knew it was coming. For me, the game is like being in a horror movie, which is a lot more fun than it sounds!

If you've ever played House of the Dead at an arcade (and enjoyed it) you owe it to yourself to give this game a shot!
