Review of Immortality by Maggie Shayne

I happen to see this book on a stand while browsing at my local Dollar General Store. To be honest I almost did not buy it, mainly because it is only 84 pages! I have read previous books by this author and really enjoyed them so I thought I would give this one a chance. I really liked the story; it has romance, suspense and a twisted ending. This story does fall in the paranormal genre.If you are looking for a great fast read this book is for you.
Story-
Puabi is an Immortal High Witch who has a dark past. She is determined to end her existence. Only she is rescued by a reclusive stranger named Mathew Fairchild. Mathew has never met anyone like Puabi.
Characters-
Puabi and Mathew are both kind of strange, but I liked reading about how they evolve and grow up together. Puabi is a very strong character with a kind of low view of herself. Mathew is guilt ridden about something that happened in his past.
