Review On The Intel Desktop Board Dg33 Bu By tyroz on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Hello everyone! I'm reviewing this motherboard by intel (becuase it's the one that I own). Well, I'll start of by saying I LOVE THIS BOARD! My number one favorite thing about it is the CPU compatabilty. This is a pretty decent price for a motherboard that can suppord QUAD CORE. Second, with 4 DIMM DDR2 RAM slots and up to 16 GBs of RAM you'll be set for at least a couple years (haha). This is the ultimate future proof motherboard here folks. Unfortunatly, there are a couple cons however. Number 1 is that the integrated graphics are VERY unideal... especially if your into gaming. Sure it'll support windows vista aero at least, but if your gonna be getting into games of this (and some last) generation your gonna need to buy an extra graphics card. Here's the specs of the GPU: 128MBs totally graphics memory (fine) 2.0 vertex shaders (not to bad) 0.0 pixel shaders!!! (this is where it fails) and the last horrible detail is that it doesn't have Hardware transform and lighting. The second con is that there are only two PCI ports and 1 PCI-e port. Basically you can have a graphics card, a capture card, and a wireless card all at once, but that's it. Over all I give this motherboard a 4.4 out of five. Hope this review helped some of you out there and good luck!
