The iBlaster Orb is one of the cheap knock-off of other iPod speaker systems. Let's just say this is no $300 Bose unit.
The good: very simple to use (plug it in, insert any iPod, operate iPod menus on iPod); charges iPod unit; and can also serve as syncing base.
The bad: sound quality is not acceptable for music OK for spoken word; large footprint on desktop, not "sexy" like many of the competitors. I also wish this had a remote that would control the volume and all iPod functions.
But the price is right! Maybe this is a case of "you get what you pay for".

I have used it on several different iPod versions including the iPhone.
Our neighbours had this for one of their sons rooms. It broke after about 90 days use. The sound quality was horrid on it. There are much better knockoffs out there.

Thanks for the review, as a non iphone user I am quite blurr on what you are writing about, but it sure looks good, useful and cheap.
A good warning about this product
