Catch Me If You Can (2002)
This movie is based on a true story of Frank Abagnale, one of the youngest and most amazing con artists ever. Frank was in his late teens when he ran away from home, upset by his parents' divorce, and started his "career." He spent four years forging checks (several million dollars worth) and impersoning different professions. The first one was that of an airline pilot; thankfully, he never got to actually fly a plane. Frank had gotten himself a uniform and IDs to be able to take free airplane rides and cash fake paychecks. His second "occupation" was a doctor; this time, he even got a job at a hospital. Then he decided to "become" a lawyer. Frank was not even 21 when the FBI had finally caught up with him.
I enjoyed Leonardo DiCaprio's performance as Frank, he did a good job studying and portraying his character, smart, resourseful, confident - and yet, still just a teen deep inside. Tom Hanks was very good as the frustrated but determined FBI agent chasing Frank. I also liked Christopher Walken as Frank's father. Extra features on this DVD include an interview with the real Frank Abagnale who now works for the government helping to fight fraud,

I saw this movie a while go on one of our movie channels here, actually, I think I've watched it twice now :) Excellent movie and I always like watching ones that are based on true events. This one had great actors, of course Tom Hanks is a fave ...well done, nice review. Thanks
