My Experiences:

Being a big fan of alternative vehicles, I turned my head when the local lot had a "HiHy" for sale. Though it was the standard silver, not one of the sexy new colors for this year's redesign, I stopped in and took it out for a spin.

Wow.

No, let me rephrase that.

WOOOOOW.

The handling felt so light. It was the most comfortable car I've driven in a long while. I know some people might get nervous when steering a car seems so effortless, but it feels like luxury to me.

The materials looked well-made (unlike the Town & Country I'd driven earlier in the day ... I'll post a review on it later) and I was confident it could take the beating my kids and their friends would undoubtedly hand it.

I was surprised by the spaciousness of the third row seating. It isn't made for midgets (like the '07s). In fact, the second row has a middle-seat insert, making this SUV capable of seating 8. Albeit, that middle middle seat looks a little tight.

The HiHy comes with a lot of options found on similar cars, but for much less. There's not much distance between this model and it's Lexus counterpart other than price.

I was so happy with my ride in the 2008 Highlander hybrid. If I had the money, I probably would have already bought one.
