Mint Chocolate Heaven
Every Christmas I make chocolate-mint fudge. From Hershey's chocolate mint chips. My recipe is delicious and easy and all the grown kids want a batch of fudge with their gifts. And then.......Hershey's discontinued making the chocolate mint chips.
My daughter-in-law (one of the fudge fans) told me that they were selling mint chocolate chips at World Market. Can you use those, she asked?
So I bought five bags and brought them home. First of all, let me say, they are the cutest things ever. They aren't really shaped like chips; they are shaped like little mini Andes candies. They are so cute. I am thinking they would look darling in some type of cookie. Hmmm.
Back to the fudge -- I tried a bag of chips in my fudge recipe and they work perfectly. The flavor is excellent. The melting is easy. They blending with the other ingredients was effortless. My freezer is loaded and I can't wait to gift my fudge. Thank you, Andes!
