Ah, Dagoba. My daily supplement. I always eat a good 1/2 oz. of dark chocolate (at least 60-70% cacao content) daily. It's great for general health, and for women in particular, as it contains magnesium (now you won't wonder why you crave chocolate when you have PMS! it's only natural!).
After getting a bit tired of the ordinary organic dark chocolate by the same brand, I decided to venture into the more exotic territory: Mon Cherri.
Cute name, but would 72% cacao with berries and vanilla be enjoyable?
The texture was not particularly creamy, sadly. I prefer a creamy chocolate with less sugar and more fat. The sweetness in this jewel-studded bar comes from the sun-dried cranberries and cherries scattered throughout.
It has just the proper amount of fruit; it's not overwhelming or too sparsely-distributed. The vanilla is barely-there, sadly.
For the size of the bar, it's expensive, but Dagoba is known for its sustainability practices, is organic, and in general high-quality.
And not too bad for a "health" food!

I love Mon Cherri candies. But I must say I have never heard of this one. Have to find it :)
Do indeed expect the unexpected! And I'm all for trying out new foods everyday, so heads up on this!
