I bought my Toyota Prius on a whim. We were surprised to find a brand new Prius sitting on the dealers lot one Sunday afternoon and decided to go in Monday morning to test drive it. I took my test drive in a snow storm & immediately fell in love with the car. I purchased my Prius that day for the sticker price. This car has performed perfectly for me for almost three years now. While I do not get the 50 MPG that Toyota claims, I average around 40+ MPG in the warmer months and 35+MPG in the colder months. I am pleased with the mileage that I am able to get from the car. There are tricks to getting better mileage, i.e. slower acceleration, slower driving speeds, maintaing speed, etc. I typically drive the same way I would drive a non-hybrid car & still see great gas mileage. I am very happy with my Prius & cannot imagine owning any other vehicle.

Toyota is a great car company, their cars last a really long time.
We are hearing a lot of praise for the improved ride and performance in the Prius. With gas prices hovering at nearly $4.00 per gallon, and spot pricing on the barrel predicted to hit $140. pbb, we all need to be going green. I hope the automakers set the pricing low enough so that anyone can get one.
This sounds like a great car to have. Thanks for sharing.
we want one but it might be to small for our growing family. saving money on gas would be great though.
