I know that eveyone prefers cordless phones. Most of the time, I like cordless phones better myself. The problem is that the batteries go bad, interference tends to still be a problem at times even with the better models. It seems my corded phone has out lived all the cordless ones.
I bought this phone about 6 years ago, and I have gone through many cordless phones in that time. My GE corded phone has more then paid for itself.
It has a great answering machine which has never let me down. This is a great product.
In the day and age of wireless this and cordless that; it is good to just get back to a more basic means of communication. At least for me, there is something to be said for dependablity.
Oh, I will still use a cordless phone. When the cordless phones go bad, my GE corded phone will still be working. It is a great product.

GE is a great brand. And you are so right about interference with the cordless phones. Great review!
A couple of months ago the batteries died on our cordless phone. We needed to have a phone handy until we got it replace so we dug out the old corded princess phone. Still worked great after all these years but bot were the kids confused, they could not ever remember us having a phone with a cord. Can you imagine what would happen if they had to turn the dial on one?
I too have one corded phone in my house and have had pretty good luck with it so far.

I agree with you, I kind a miss playing with the cord while I am talking LOL! Thanks for another great review!
We sure always keep at least one corded phone going in the house. The cordless reception always seems to crap out at unfortunate times, so we can just go grab the "land line!"

I do agree that the batteries on cordless phones do not last very long. I would not mind at all having a corded phone. Thanks for sharing such a nice review. I voted for you!
I agree with you! The corded phones are still better in a lot of ways than the cordless ones.
I haven't used a corded phone in years, and I know we should have one in the house, in case of emergency and no power, this one sounds really good, thank you for the info, voted.
We're like you-we do have a corded phone in our house & it has been so handy when we've lost power!! We can always depend on it!! Your's has lasted quite awhile!
I think every household needs at least one phone that is corded. Thanks for the info.
corded or cordless, all works the same ..sound quality is the most important to me. voted
This is an important thing to remember...if you have bad weather like a storm, those cute cordless phones are worthless. This is a great phone and since you have owned it for awhile, quality of the corded phone rises to the top!
It's always nice to have a corded phone in the house for power outages... sounds like a good one!
Yes I love my cordless phones but I will keep this one in mine when I go to replace my corded phone in the basement.
We usually keep a corded phone in the house just in case the power goes off. This seems like it would be a great one to have.
great review.. thanks for sharing the product and your experience.. big help.. voted!!!
