My Experiences:

I know that eveyone prefers cordless phones.  Most of the time, I like cordless phones better myself.  The problem is that the batteries go bad, interference tends to still be a problem at times even with the better models.  It seems my corded phone has out lived all the cordless ones.

I bought this phone about 6 years ago, and I have gone through many cordless phones in that time.  My GE corded phone has more then paid for itself.

It has a great answering machine which has never let me down.  This is a great product.

In the day and age of wireless this and cordless that; it is good to just get back to a more basic means of communication.  At least for me, there is something to be said for dependablity.

Oh, I will still use a cordless phone.  When the cordless phones go bad, my GE corded phone will still be working.  It is a great product.

  11. A couple of months ago the batteries died on our cordless phone. We needed to have a phone handy until we got it replace so we dug out the old corded princess phone. Still worked great after all these years but bot were the kids confused, they could not ever remember us having a phone with a cord. Can you imagine what would happen if they had to turn the dial on one?

  15. We sure always keep at least one corded phone going in the house. The cordless reception always seems to crap out at unfortunate times, so we can just go grab the "land line!"

  17. I do agree that the batteries on cordless phones do not last very long. I would not mind at all having a corded phone. Thanks for sharing such a nice review. I voted for you!

  18. I agree with you! The corded phones are still better in a lot of ways than the cordless ones.

  23. This is an important thing to remember...if you have bad weather like a storm, those cute cordless phones are worthless. This is a great phone and since you have owned it for awhile, quality of the corded phone rises to the top!

  26. We usually keep a corded phone in the house just in case the power goes off. This seems like it would be a great one to have.
