My Experiences:

Label Makers can make any filing system look more organized.  And, the P-Touch is no exception.  It is quite easy to us and allow for use of unusual characters.

 

The PT-1280 Label Maker is a cheap and has several useful features.  For example, it allows the user to move back and forth through text without losing any data.  Additionally, it bolds, italicizes and allows for various font selections.  You can even save text and search on text.  This The PT-1280 Label Maker has a easy to read 15 character LCD.  It operates on 6 "AAA" batteries or AC adapter.  At 1.04 lbs, it is very light weight.  It automatically adjusts the text size according to the tape width.  It uses a variety of Brother’s (3.5mm) non-laminated tape.

 

Pros: No ink residue.  Cut the label cleanly and allows for neat removal of the back tape.


Cons:  At almost $20.00 a tape, the replacement tapes do not seem to last long and cost almost as much as the machine itself.
