Living up in Canada I tend to own numerous types of gloves for various different weather conditions. I find that the hot paws fleece gloves are the perfect glove on a mildly cold spring or fall day. The glove itself is made out of fleece so while it does provide some warmth, on extremely cold days the gloves are not very effective. Some people out there might be a little hesitant to buy fleece gloves because they don't have much grip, but the Hot paws gloves come with 'anti slip grips' (I made that one up!) on the palm of the glove and on the thumb which prevent your hands from slipping while holding onto a steering wheel or holding onto an object. The gloves also have an adjustable Velcro strap near the wrist so you can tighter the glove. This is a nice quality if you have gloves that are a little big; this strap allows you to tighten the glove around your hand so it doesn’t fall off.
The gloves themselves are pretty generic; there is nothing about the design or styles which makes them flashy or stick out. Personally I think this is a good quality because the company is more focused on the effectiveness of the glove, as opposed to its style. The glove is not intended to be warm in -30 degree Celsius weather and I think the company is aware of that.
Overall I find these gloves to be relatively warm on mild days but not effective during the frigid winter days. If you are looking for a fleece glove with some grip then I recommend you try this glove, and I think once you try it you won't be able to get your 'paws' out of them. :)
Did you know that all revenue a review earns monthly is split with the voters that voted for that review each month?
Thanks for the info, these sound great for Sept-Oct weather!
Sounds good. Any info on where to buy or what we should expect to pay?
thanks for the review
I've lived in cold weather, and if your hands aren't warm, *nothing* is warm! :) Good review of the gloves, thanks.
These sound good for medium cold days!
I will keep these in mind if I ever live somewhere it get below 80 degrees...lol. Good review!
Sounds like these gloves would work for about half of Minnesota's winter season! Thanks for the great review, you got my vote!
i'm happy i don't have to worry about weather down here in cali :) voted
great review, good job munky
Haha! Funny. And I would love to hear you try to say "anti slip grip" 10 times fast! I really need some good gloves, and I love the ones that adjust. It doesn't get too cold here so these would be nice. Thanks for the review of these.
Good informative review, voted
My husband needs a new pair of gloves. Will look into these for next season. Thanks for another great review Munky.
Voted......Great review with a great deal of information. Thanks for sharing it.
Always on the search for a good pair of gloves. Good review. voted
Great review Munkey as usual. These sound great!
These would have been helpful to have this winter in Ohio. It gets pretty cold here...although maybe not as cold as Canada! I like the velcro straps that allow you to adjust fit. This is important because not everyone likes their gloves to fit the same way. Excellent product and I will keep them in mind for next winter!
Very funny Munky! They sound like a fine pair of gloves for mild winter weather. Pretty much exactly what we get down here in the South:0) Thanks for the information. If my Isotoner wear out, MAYBE I'll look at this brand.
good review, voted! i need to be better about buying and not losing gloves, these sound like i could get through most of the winter with them ( boston has a few weeks where its REALLY freeezinng)
Great Review! Voted.
Very nice job on the review and I voted for your "anit slip grip" gloves. Maybe you should send that into the company that makes these, lol. I very seldom wear gloves, even in freezing Michigan because I am either missing one, can't find them, lost them, or all of these!!
We get some cold here in Georgia but nothing like Canada so fleece gloves would be fine here. I like that they have the anti slip grip so at least you don't have to take them off when you are driving.
Believe it or not, some of our Sacramento days and nights get downright frigid. These gloves sound like a perfect solution for those cold early morning frost times.
It gets pretty cold sometimes here in Missouri and fleece gloves are perfect. I have some that I absolutely love. They're warm and cozy and easy to take care of. Great review!
I love these people from CA and MO talking about how cold it gets... Love to see them in Grand Forks, ND, in January when it's -40 (which is -40 F or C!) with a 50 mph wind.... THEN you know what cold is (And I know, Thunder Bay is actually worse because of the humidity.... BRRR!). These sound great for, oh, October or April; I'll stick to something warmer the rest of winter. Great and well-detailed review. Love your writing style!
Great review! Very informative. Voted!
