I was almost up for my "new every 2" cell phone with Verizon. I was happy to learn it had shortened to "new every 22 months" and is now "new every 20 months" with my latest contract!
I started looking at the phones each time I went to the Verison store at the mall and had narrowed it down to a couple choices. The LG Venus in pink was the one I kept eyeing. It was $199 with contract renewal, and $169 with my husbands account discount. If you are the primary contract holder you get $100 towards this.
The Venus has a lower touch panel that is easy to use. Instead of touching buttons, you simply push the screen controls on the bottom screen. It is a "slider" type of phone which I had never had, but I do love it! The screens are easy to read with my 44 year old eyes. I set the text to the larger font and have never had an issue. It has so many extra features and choices that I have not even discovered them all! It is easy to access my Comcast email when I need to. The camera is a 2.0 and is easy to use. It automatically sets up sideways on the screen and controls for you to use it like a camera! It also comes with VCast music essentials, which I have not even explored yet.
The reception has been great, and it has proved reliable so far. Of course they offer it in black too but the PINK was a big part of why I even looked at this phone. It comes in a soft hot pink pouch too! And I can still fit it in my front pocket when I need to. I have had a lot of people ask me about my phone as they like the looks of it.
I do recommend the LG Venus from Verizon!

Looks like a great Verizon phone! I've never used a slider phone, but it looks interesting. The color pink is awesome...I love it!
I like the name, the color and the fact that the screen is easy to read, my 42 year old eyes are the same way.
