Cuisinart 12 Cup Coffeemaker
I received this coffee maker as a Christmas gift from my hubby, as he knows I am a coffee hound. He does not drink coffee, (one of those Mountain Dew in the AM people) but he knows what I like and he does his homework. He made an excellent choice. This coffeemaker makes excellent coffee. Every morning at 5:55 am the timer starts my coffee, so at 6:00 when the alarm goes off, I can stagger to the kitchen for my first shot of caffeine.
The carafe is heavy for glass and fits securely in square body. The lid fits tightly, so there is less chance of spillage. The brew basket accepts the conical paper filters and gold-tone. The 24 hour timer is very easy to program, as is the clock. It has a water filter to improve flavor, a 1-4 cup setting, a time to clean monitor, programmable automatic shut off, and brew pause, which I love. The pot beeps five times when brewing is complete and just before the warming plate shuts off, so you can run in and grab that last hot cup. Parts are top rack dishwasher safe and it comes with a 3 year limited warranty. All in all a great cup of coffee every morning since Christmas at what I think is a very reasonable price. It sure beats stopping at Starbucks, unless you got a gift card for Christmas too.

nice review
I'm one of those Mountain Dew in the AM (well basically every waking hour) kind of people too. My husband on the other hand is very much a coffee drinker. This may be a good Father's Day gift. Of course I'll have to see what I get for Mother's Day first. :) Thanks for the review.
