Icy/Hot Sleeve- Not so good

Well, this is a very new review, since I just bought this product, and tried it out last night. So this is all fresh in my mind.

I had pulled my knee, after i tripped walking my dog. I thought, hey, I will try this icy/hot sleeve, I have seen on TV!. I made sure I purchased the Large size, as it says it fits knees, and elbows. GREAT!.

Nope, not so great. The sleeve is made of a very thin web-like material, and its stretchy.

However, as soon as you pull it up your leg, and over your knee, it stretches out, and then is loose, and falls back down, or rolls down your leg. This makes this useless if it wont stay on your knee. I imagine this would work better if it was on your elbow, as it would not stretch out quite so far.

The heating/icy element was hot, and that was nice, but I had to use some first aid tape, to keep the thing from rolling down my leg, while I was trying it out.

My knees arent that large, and with the picture of SHAQ on the front of the box, you would think he has larger legs, and knees than I do!

So, in my opinion, I will stick with the heat wraps that are sticky, and not these sleeves.

  4. Thanks for the honest information about this product. I have wondered if it was a good one or not. My hubby was wanting to try it. I will now tell him to leave this one alone.

  7. Wow, too bad they took such an effective product and put it in an ineffective dispensing system. Thanks for the honest review!

  8. It sounds like these were never tested before being sold! Once you said what happened to you, it made total sense because those types of "fabric" that they use for these products do not retract once stretched out. It would have been better if they gave you a real ace bandage type knee support that was specially designed to fit the icy hot active part of the sleeve into. Maybe they will figure it out....

  9. I have seen these and was going to actually pick some up the other night, I'm glad I didn't. Instead, I suffered through with ye olde Magic bag :) Great review and now you saved me some money. Thanks!
