My Experiences:

It's the weirdest thing, but lately I have been getting so many compliments on my calculator. What's not to love? I mean, the design and color scheme are really beautiful when you see it in real life. It has a very sleek and sophisticated look to it.

As for functions, don't get me wrong, it is no graphing calculator. Still, for what it is, it's really great. First of all, you've got your basics: sine, cosine, tangent, pi, ect. Plus, it has a 2nd and 3rd key, which gives you many more options than your average scientific calculator. What I find very useful are the Celsius to Fahrenheit, centimeters to inches, gallons to liters, and pounds to kilograms conversions. If I ever forget the ratios, converting units is just a click away.

Overall, this calculator is very user friendly and well designed. The top can be a bit hard to snap on and off at first, but that is something you get used to. I have had this calculator for a few years now, and I still love it. And, you never have to change batteries because it's solar powered! So if you are in need of a good scientific calculator, this product is strongly recommended!

  1. Great review Llama. concise and well written! I too have TI solar calculator and don't know what I would do wihtout it. I'm a six sigma black belt and although we have to do a lot of our calcs by hand, it is very nice to avoid this when no one is looking. This baby does the basics quick and easy.

  10. Great price for this ... terrific review, lots of good info included. With one child left who will be doing heavy duty math next year, this sounds like a great tool to get her. Thanks
