My Experiences:

This review is about my favorite magazine, Scrapbooks Etc. It has a printing of 8 issues a year at a cover price of $5.99 per issue or you can get a subscription for $19.97.

I purchased many scrapbook magazines before I purchased subscription for one. This was my favorite because it is printed by Better Homes and Gardens and not by one of the companies that produces scrapbook products. Because of this, the magazine covers all types of products from all manufactures and does not just feature the products the company who owns the magazine makes.

Each issue averages around 140 pages and is divided into 4 main sections. In the Elements section, you get to see what other scrappers are working on including sharing projects, tips and a question and answer section. In the Goods section, they show you the latest supplies that are available and how to use them. In the Inspiration section, you are shown various projects by theme and different ways in which you can adapt them to fit your needs. In the Techniques section, you are shown new skills and simple step by step lessons to improve your pages. Each issue also has a pull out section of page layouts and patterns.

I usually sit down and read each issue cover to cover when it first arrives. When I am ready to start a project or stuck for an idea for a certain page, I pull out my old issues and flip through them for inspiration. Of all the other magazines out there that I have looked at, this one had the most content and best ideas out there for me.

  12. Kim, I think it's wonderful that you've introduced this magazine for scrapbookers to us. It's obvious it is not well known yet, so your writing about it really helps.
