Humorous Cake Topper
My Experiences:
The theme I wanted for my wedding was "Simple and Elegant" and it was. However, there was one thing I saw that I had to have that really didn't fit this idea... my cake topper. I chose a cake topper that has a groom trying to run away from his bride but he can't because he has a ball and chain attached to his ankle. The bride is standing with her hands on her hips as if to say "Where do you think you're going?" The best part was the groom had brown hair like my husband and the bride had blonde hair like me. So I had a gorgeous, elegant, four-tier wedding cake with this as my topper!
I bought it at a local wedding shop in my town but I have seen these all over. I've seen them at novelty stores like Spencer's and I have seen them online. If you're looking for something like this just do an internet search and you'll find all kinds.
I'd recommend adding a little humor to your wedding day, its the little things like this that really help to personalize things. My husband and I aren't stuffy, formal people so this fit us perfectly. We got a lot of laughs from it thats for sure!

I love your beautiful cake! The red accents really stand out, and the cake topper is adorable (and funny.) As the TV designers always say, "It's good to add a little whimsy." I have seen these also where the bride is dragging the groom. LOL!

Too funny...I would really have loved a topper like this...then again, I didn't have a wedding cake - just a quickie wedding at the courthouse, no cake, but the chain might have come in handy there, lol.
