Clomid or clomiphen citrate was prescribed to me by my OB-Gyne because I have PCOS. It was a very exensive fertility drug that should be taken only for five days after a menstrual period. My menstruation is irregular, but I did manage to take it for two cycles (whenever it came).
Needless to say, the drug didn't work for me because it didn't make me ovulate. The worst part is, I got very anxious because the drug had to be taken at the same time each day, I have to monitor when we make love, what time to move after that, etc. It was stressful.
And when the third cycle of menstruation came after taking 2 cycles, my lower abdomen was very very painful, which I never experienced before. So I stopped. I guess Clomid isn't working for me.
