Five-Star Spiral-Bound notebooks

Share and Enjoy:

I've been using these notebooks since middle school. I love the spiral that allows you to fold back the notebook so even left handers can use it comfortably on either side of the pages. The covers are made of a polyethylene material that is very durable: this is not one of those notebooks where the cover gets torn off before you even have a chance to fill up the pages. In fact, it's nearly impossible to tear off the cover.

These notebooks are available in many different configurations. You can get one-subject, three-subject or five-subject notebooks, which refers to the number of sheets of paper and pockets that the notebook has. They also come in either college ruled or wide ruled, and the covers are available in several different solid colors like burgundy, navy blue, hunter green, olive green, royal blue, and black.

I like the three-subject notebooks because they are big enough not to run out of paper for at least a semester (if you're taking notes in them), but not nearly as heavy as the five-subject ones. This three-subject notebook has perforated sheets, four pockets, and 150 sheets of paper, and all the pages have the three holes punched in them so you can put them in a three-ring binder if you tear them out.

The dimensions are 11 x 8.5 inches, and I may have rated the recycle content incorrectly above. Mead's website says that these notebooks contain 70% pre-consumer recycled content and 30% post consumer recycled content.

Overall, these notebooks are great. I don't think I've ever thrown one away, and they're definitely worth the higher pirce tag.
