Black and Decker Power Pro II

I love the ease of food processors in the kitchen.  I've had small food processors on hand for chopping onions and cheese, and even nuts.  But I found I had a need for a larger food processor, especially in the Fall when I am preserving fruits and vegetables from my garden.  I decided to buy a Black and Decker Power Pro II to fill the bill.

One of the very first tasks I used it for, was making homemade spaghetti sauce from the tomatoes in my garden.  In the past I used my smaller food processor, but found it to be a hassle because I had to process it in several batches.  The Power Pro did it all in one step!  Believe me, this saves time, and it's not as messy.  From there, I processed salsa, creamed homemade soups, and sliced a bunch of veggies with the slicing/grating blade that was included.

The Power Pro II is simple to use... attach the bowl, lock it in place... attach the cover, and lock that in place.  Both of these pieces need to be locked properly or the machine won't start.  The top has a shoot for adding food or liquid during processing.  As I mentioned above, there is a slicing and grating blade that comes with the unit.  You can control the food chopping/grating/slicing by pressing the "on" button (full-on processing), or you can press the "pulse" button which intermittently processes the food, controlled by how many times you decide to push that button.

I still use my ‘little' food processor-it's good for chopping small amounts of whatever you need, but the Black and Decker Power Pro II does all of my BIG jobs with little effort!
