I have had American Family Auto insurance since I started driving (13 years ago). We could pay in the office, through the mail or online as long as it was already set up. You cannot pay with a credit card though, which was troublesome sometimes. Also, when we did have a claim (twice), they were speedy and accurate. I could always count on their service to be there and come through. However, every time I had a claim the rate went up and stayed that way for two to three years, no matter if it was my fault or not. After talking with our agent to see if we could lower our rates, I found that there was nothing we could do but lower the amount of coverage or raise our deductible. I didn't want to do either, so I called around to reputable companies and found that we could get the same coverage with the same deductible for HALF the price. Yes, half!! Needless to say, we switched companies! We went with Brooke Insurance. They are a broker for multiples of insurance companies. Our agent was able to check around with several reputable companies to find one that matched our needs and save us money!!
