This Homedics Hand Held, Battery Opperated Massager is a great little item. This is shaped like a tri-pod. It fits in the palm of your hand and the legs do the massaging by vibration. I have used this on sore muscles on back and various other parts of my body. It is, of course, a temporary relief of pain, but it feels really good on sore and tired muscles, nonetheless. You may use this item on yourself or have someone else give you the massage with it. I have found that it has a very long battery life and is durable. My young son especially likes this. It works well on kids because it does't give a harsh or deep massage. It is gentle enough for kids or seniors. If you suffer from aches or pains and don't like taking a lot of medicine, then this is worth a try for temporary pain relief. I would buy it again.
