My Experiences:

Esquire is an ultra-popular men's magazine; I spent about 2 hours reading the entire October 2007 issue. The magazine's cover is certainly enticing. It always features an incredible picture on the front cover, usually a woman.

However, Esquire isn't just a Playboy-type magazine; it also has interesting features such as "Kobe Bryant Needs A Hug", "It's Kucinich Time!" and "This American Life", an article about the connection Ralph Lauren has with everyday people. These articles were generally high-quality and provided insights into popular public figures rarely seen elsewhere.

One thing that completely pissed me off about Esquire, though, was that it is chockfull of advertisements. I think I had to flip through over twenty pages of advertisments in the beginning before I even got to the table of contents. In addition, they had multiple fold-up car advertisments which got in the way of page-turning. The worst of it was one or two advertisements which gave you a free sample of their nauseating cologne.
