Iron Mountain, Michigan: Hidden Treasure
Iron Mountain, Michigan is located nearly 6 hours north of Chicago. The town is known for great golf, fantastic skiing, four wheeling, and ski jumps. The mountains are beautiful and thanks to the hidden quality, Iron Mountain is untainted by crime and tourism.
The vast array of nationalities living in the Upper Peninsula, lends to some truly great food choices as well. If you have never had a Pasty, you need to go to Iron Mountain.
Iron Mountain, Michigan is one place I have lived that I miss. I miss the townspeople, I miss the quiet nature of life and I miss all the great snow sports. Go see Iron Mountain and taste a bit of small town living.
