Waimea Canyon
It may not be the Grand Canyon, but Waimea Canyon, located in Kauai Hawaii, is still a beautiful canyon to visit. It's the largest canyon in the Pacific, full of color and beauty. The variety of red and brown from the canyon dirt mixed with the lush green trees, flowers, and occasional waterfalls, creates a spectacular view of the canyon for all to enjoy. Traveling up to Waimea Canyon, which is probably about a ten minute drive, there are several lookouts to stop off for amazing picture opportunities. There are also several hikes that you can take. We didn't go on any of the hikes. We did, however, stop at some of the lookouts for pictures, but nothing prepared us for the view we would get when we got to the top! Waimea Canyon is truly a beautiful place to visit.
