Sonicare Advance

Share and Enjoy:

I have the Sonicare Advance series toothbrush.  This was one of the first models Sonicare released and is a medle with very few extra features on it, but yet it remains effective.

The toothbrush itself is pretty plain looking and acts like a normal toothbrush.  You simply need to push the green button to start your brushing.  A feature it does have, which is quite nice is it gives you a little pause every 30 seconds to switch quadrants of your mouth.  The whole cycle lasts two minutes, which is a lot longer than I used to spend brushing my teeth.

The two things I do not like about this product is the expensive head replacements and keeping it clean.  It is recommended that you switchheads every six months.  The heads come in a pack of two and costs about $30 to replace.  This is an expensive toothbrush in my opinion.

It is also very hard to keep the brush clean.  Things seems to build up on it over time and it is very hard to clean.  I have actually been running it through my dishwasher every few months to keep it clean.  Probably not recommended, but it works.

My dentist has said my teeth are cleaner, so it must work.  If you can afford the price, I would recommend the Sonicare Advance toothbrush.

  3. Too bad the replacement brushes are so pricey, sounds like a great toothbrush despite that though.

  4. Sonic technology is wonderful! I have a Clarisonic face brush & swear by how clean my face is from using it! I'm sure your teeth are even more clean from your toothbrush!

  5. I like the idea that this model of sonicare care has a pause to switch areas in your mouth. I have a newer model and you have to pause it to switch because heaven forbid if you take it out of your mouth while it is running, you have a toothpaste-saliva fountain, lol.

  6. Good information on Sonic's toothbrush. It is kind of pricey but if it works I guess its worth it!

  7. There is something about an electric toothbrush that makes the teeth feel so much cleaner.
