Revlon Color Silk Burgundy By Stephanie Mas on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Like so many women out there, I have grey hair. It doesn't bother me like some people but I do like to cover it up once in a while. My natural color is brown however I love to go red or burgundy because it changes things. First, it brings out my eyes (which are brown as well), makes my skin color a little darker (I am white and I mean white!), and it makes my face look skinnier.

When I finally decide to color my hair, I usually buy Revlon's #48 Burgundy Hair Coloring. It last about 3 months and when I do my touch up, I only have to do my roots. Revlon has been around forever so I feel very confident in this brand.

There are different colors that you can get and the directions are very self explanatory. The box contains the dye, peroxide and the conditioner as well as gloves.

My only complaint is that the gloves rip very easily making it almost impossible for the dye to end up on my hands staining them.

If you are looking for decent and cheap hair dye, I would recommend Revlon's Hair Dye
