Revlon Custom Creations By Jessica Ne on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When I saw this new foundation advertised on TV I just had to have it! Over the past year or so I have only used the mineral foundations but found that it lacked coverage a little.

The reason I went to the powder to begin with was because I was getting tired of the caked on, or oily feeling of liquid foundations. Plus I knew how horrible it was to my skin. Another reason was that I always have a hard time finding my shade. I am very light and I usually pick shades that are too dark or too light for me, but after the foundation is opened, there is no turning back. I didn't want to waste any more money!

So one day I got a coupon for $2 off of the Revlon Custom Creations foundation and I decided to give it a try. The price actually wasn't as bad as I had expected. It ended up being around $10 (but they also had a buy 1 get 1 free offer so I got something else the same price for free...I love deals!). So anyway, they have a few to choose from and each bottle ranges from 5 different shades.. I found one that had my color range and decided to give it a try.

I dialed it over to where I thought my color was and it was that easy. One warning about this is that you should be careful when you press it down. A lot of foundation comes out, and a little of this goes a long way! So I tried it and I did feel an improvement from other foundations I had tried in the past. This one felt a lot lighter on my skin. It was still very different from the mineral I was used to but that is understandable. The coverage was a lot better too. It was very easy to blend in and it turned out to be the perfect shade for me.

It lasted a long time and didn't make my skin oily. Even when my face would touch something no makeup came off. I was pretty impressed.

Another big reason I wanted this makeup was because I know summer is coming up. I plan to be outside a lot so I may, eventually, get a tan. I didn't want to run out and buy a new foundation when I did. This one will do great for what ever shade I am.

I still use my mineral foundation if I am in a rush but I really recommend this foundation if you are looking for something with a little more coverage.

I have wondered about this foundation. I hadn't even thought about how great it be when you started getting tan in the summer. I may to rush out and buy some!

I like the fact you can change the color when you do get some sun. I'm fair skinned as well so my foundation needs change in the summer. I'll have to check this one out.

I hated liquid foundations too, they are to messy for me. I have never tried this one before, I 'm gonna check the Walgreens ad for another sale.

I always have a hard time finding my shade also, because I am very pale. this may be worth trying.

I have wasted so much money on foundations because I never can choose the right shade for my skin. I like the dial feature on this one.

So does this have a sunscreen? I've been looking at it for a while, but it seems to me (I'm also REALLY fair) that I'd use most of one side of the bottle, and hardly any of the other, so it would be kind of a waste. What are you finding with that? I'd like to hear about it! I usually get the lightest shade in any foundation -- and sometimes that's too dark!
