Rice Cooker By Mean_Queen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

A friend recommended I buy this and now I'm recommending it to everyone else that makes rice. I've had the electric rice cookers in the past and they were such a pain to use and clean. This product makes cooking rice a breeze. You simply put the rice and water in the cooker, cook it on high for 5 minutes then on half power for 15 more minutes and it's done. No waiting for water to bowl or the cooker to steam. One thing I love is this is versatile. I sometimes mix in a can of soup, cheese and even vegetables when I cook it for a rice casserole. There are even recipes to make cakes in the cooker, though I haven't tried them yet. The rice cooker is dish-washer safe. Now for my small complaints. The cooker has a bunch of different parts, including a seal that tends to get lost. I'd love if the company created a way to avoid all these parts. Also, I've got lines that have cooked into the side of the plastic from using it so much. But those complaints aren't big enough for me to not tell everyone I can to get this product.

This sounds cool! I cook a lot of rice using a steamer and I hate the cleanup and the fact that it takes a long time to steam. I will look for this item at the next Pampered Chef party!
