Richardson Pastel Mints By Rae777 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Richardson Pastel Mints- If you like mints, one of the best kind of mints is a candy called Pastel Mints by Richardson. These mints have been around since 1893. I knew they had been around for as long as I have been alive but I did not know they went back to the late 1800's. These small pillow shaped mints are still made the same way and with the same recipe as when they were first made in 1893.

These small mints are light green, light pink, light yellow and white hence the name Pastel Mints. They are not as hard as most mints. In fact, they are light and creamy flavored due to their simple ingredients of natural peppermint flavoring, cream of tartar and sugar. They contain some artificial colors.

Twenty of these candies contain about sixty calories. Each one is small about 7/16 of an inch by 1/4 of an inch. They have no fat, cholesterol or sodium in them.

These are great mints that bring back childhood memories. They are still sold in some stores like Wal-Mart.

I really like these. We don't seem to buy them, but I always take some when they are at parties or restaurants.
