Ricoh Copier By donnabc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
Over the years, I used too many office copiers than I care to remember. This one is not good, but not bad either...in other words, you could definately do worse.
PROS: It does copy fairly quickly during one sided copies. There are two paper trays so that you can put 8 1/2 by 11 in one and legal size in the other if you would like. When the paper jams, it is fairly easy to gain access and pull it out. There is a power saving mode which saves energy :0) The trays hold a hole pack of paper at a time.
CONS: The copier is picky...yeap that's right. It can tell the difference between color and white paper and will eat the pretty copier paper just about every time :0( When you are copying double sided, it takes about 3 times as long as just one sided. There is no feature for coping 2 sided to one sided. And paper frequently gets stuck...several times a week at least.
All in all, it works ok. Not the best, but ok.
Ricoh aticio 2022

but honestly, I've never encountered a copier without these problems. Drives ya nuts.
That's a pretty intuitive copier if it realizes that it's copying white or colored paper!!!
Sounds like for a busy office a company would be well advised to find a better copier. :)
I used a newer model Ricoh at my neighborhood Kinko's and thought I'd go mad. It stuck, it tore paper and generally made the task of copying 150 pages of legal arguments just a nightmare. They can do much better than that.
I think there must be something different about the finish on colored paper that affects the feed, because some copiers really do seem to hate it.
LOL at the copier eating the color paper only - finicky copier! Probably the weight on it or maybe there is some recycled content that makes the finish different.
