Ride Dh Snowboard By Patrick on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

As I went to choose my third snowboard deck, the second was recently stolen, I decided to depart from my directional, all-mountain style and lean more torwards a twin-tip freestyle oriented board. For this, I went with the Ride DH. This board meets all the requirements of a great freestyle board, having great felxibility, bidirectional, while also harboring some useful freeride qualities as well, such as great torsional stiffness and a tuned core and edges. The base of this board includes different types of wood as well as laminates and carbon fiber so that the deck gives great pop as it unflexes when you jump. The "slimewall" sidewalls, made of urethane, absorb lots of the shock of riding rough or hard terrain as well as hard landings. This board provides a great experience for me, since it is a departure from my previous experience, and so far the change has been great.
