Robin Hood Nutcracker By dsnygrl on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
One of the reasons I love the holidays is because I get to bring out one of my favorite things I like to collect and that is my nutcrackers. I have over 50 of them and I add to my collection every year. This is one of my favorites, Robin Hood.
He is the 2006 Bombay Company exclusive nutcracker. He is amazing in quality and detail. He stands 25 inches tall and is made of wood. The wooden base of the nutcracker is adorned with snow covered trees. He has a painted body and jewels on his boots. He is dressed in a green velvet cape that is trimmed in blue and black fluffy fabric and is wearing a velvet hat that is topped with a blue feather. In one hand he is holding a bow and the other an arrow. A leather bag on his waist is full of gold coins while a leather pack on his back holds additional feather tipped arrows.
I was very sad when the Bombay Company closed last year. They had the best nutcrackers of anyone and I have one from the last several years. I hope this year I can find one that can compare to this one.

I love Nutcrackers as well, but goodness don't have as many as you..I have them out actually all year long
Functionality and great as a decoration...always a plus
definately a collectors item! Wish I grabbed one before the store closed in my area!
50 Nutcrackers! Cool-and this one is really sharp looking!
It doesn't look like Kevin Costner, does it "CRACK" in a real english accent(wink)? I've rarely even thought about them, but this one is definitely cool. Good write!
