Rocking For Almost 40 Years By ColonelJ on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This album is fantastic, simply. In 1969, the Beatles were almost dead; we were waiting for Pink Floyd to record masterpieces; music was in a slump, waiting to be revolutionized. King Crimson arrived and did just that. They took music by the ankles, turned it upside down and shook it violently. This album features great and complex instrumentation, rocking riffs, catchy lyrics, beautiful melodies...

Of course, you can get a bit lost in jazz cacophony and experimentation sometimes, particularly in "Moonchild", a suite of random noises; however, the band retakes itself swiftly with "The Court of the crimson king", the final, epic track. This album will surely be remembered in the next centuries as one of the greats.
