Roland Cube 60 Guitar Amp By Charlie Yin on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

The Roland Cube 60 is simply one of the best, most affordable solid state guitar amps on the market today. With 60 watts of sound, there will be no trouble getting heard. However, since the Roland Cube is a solid state amp and not a tube amp, the sound will become a bit distorted at higher volumes. The sound quality leaves a little to be desired but for the price, it cannot be beat. Compared to other modeling amps at the same price range such as the Line6 Spider II, the Roland Cube 60 blows it out of the water. Another upside of the Cube is that it has dynamic distortion response. What that means is if you roll down the volume knob on your guitar, the distortion will go down as well. As for as construction is concerned, the Rolan Cube 60 is built like a tank. With a stylish metal grating covering the speaker, the Amp seems like it can withstand a Nuclear Holocaust. The Roland Cube 60 does not fail to deliver.
