Rollerblading Granny! By Geralyn Hydock on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

As a child and later a teen, I enjoyed both ice skating and roller skating. Back then roller skates were not as fashionable or equipped with wheels that are al lined up in a row. All four of my children love to rollerskate and have their own rollerblades. I was surprised for my birthday with a new pair of inline skates which I use to skae around our neighborhood. Yes, this old lady still has it in her to skate! It is not only good exercise but it also helps to lower my blood sugars!

These skates are comfortable and very soft which make them ideal for women. The have a proprietary frame with a stability cuff made out of composite material. They are equipped with your standard ankle lacing and a power strap and adjustable buckle which enables you a snug fit. Each skate has 78mm wheels with ABEC 5 bearings that deliver both a smooth and controlled ride. You can purchase them in sizes from 4.0 thru 11.0. If needed , they have a one year warranty.

I love these skates! Not only are they comfortable but they are a fashionable pink color that makes this grandma stand out when she rollerblades through the neighborhood. I totally recommend them to all inline skaters, you will not be disappointed!

Pink skates? LOL Just what I need. The Tink always loves something pink :) I have roller blades but I haven't been on them in a long long time. Might be the thing to take up again. These skates sound wonderful!

These are the type of activities I miss since being in a wheelchair. I use to love to skate with my daughter. I just watch her skate now. These do sound like great skate. Thanks for sharing the information.

Ok now you make me want to try this. It sounds like fun, I am just afraid that I will fall and won't be able to get up! Thanks

You are never too old to rollerblade...LOL!!! I love it. I always loved rollerskating as a child so I took up rollerblading years ago. I don't go rollerblading as much as I would like to. The only difference I've found between the two is the speed you get on rollerblades.

I used to roller skate "back in the day" and roller blading isn't much different. Glad you found a great set of skates.
