Ronco 4000 Rotisserie
By 3Robins onWe love rotisserie chicken so much that I wanted a rotisserie oven to make my own at home. I am a huge kitchen gadget fan, but my husband thought that I would use it for a little while, then decide that it was too much trouble to make my own chicken.Boy, did I ever prove him wrong!!!
My mother-in-law bought the rotisserie for me for a Chistmas gift in 2006.I have used the rotisserie just about every week since!Of course, my favorite thing to make is the chicken, but I have made Kabobs, roast, and ribs. Once, I even rotisseried a small turkey.(very small) It comes with a veggie basket that is great to use for steaks. The meat just falls of the bone and is always so juicy and tender. Folks, you have never had a baked potato until you have had a rotisserie potato!!
The oven is large and I do not have the counterspace to keep it out, or I would. But it fits nicely into my bottom kitchen cabinet. As I said, the oven comes with a basket, but it also comes with a package of poultry ties and insulated rubber gloves. Some models come equipped with k-bob skewers, but I had to purchase mine separately from the Ronco order form. The oven also comes with a booklet of recipes to help get you started. All of the accessories are easy to clean.I put them in the dishwasher.
The oven is equipped with a timer and a guide (printed on the side of the oven)that will help you to adjust the cooking time. For example a 3 pound chicken takes about 1 1/2 hours. If you decide to invest in a rotisserie oven, be sure that you also invest in a good meat thermometer.
I have enjoyed my rotisserie oven so much. Even if you are not that great of a cook, you would enjoy it too. After all, the Ronco comerical says " set it and forget it" and that is so true!

I've watched this infomercial many times and thought about purchasing this. I didn't know that walmart carried them now. That's awesome! I'll have to check them out at walmart so I can 'set it and forget it'!
