This is a really nice dehydrator. It is by Ronco (aka Ron Popeil) and it works really well. We dry alot of fruit in this machine. Currently, we are doing peaches because they are in season here in Central Pennsylvania. I have done banana - think banana chips - Apple rings, which are really yummy. I've even done strawberries for a recipe (Strawberry scones from Barefoot Contessa). She suggested ordering the strawberries on line and the were insanely expensive. I went to the grocery, bought a box of strawberries and in a couple of days, the same amount of time would I have ordered on-line and shipped, I had my dried strawberries for the recipe from my Ronco. You can also dry meat in this machine, although I haven't tried it yet. I would recommend the Ronco if you like to dry your own products!
