Root Touch Up Is Really Nice'n Easy By JPnMO on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Being somewhat thrifty, especially in these economic times, I don't go to the hair salon as often as I'd like. My hair grows fast, so within 2 weeks of being colored, I am starting to see roots. In the past I've tried color sticks and other items that helped hide the roots for a day or so. They left a waxy feel and didn't look natural. Then came Root Touch-Up. Wow! After weeks of debating over whether to try it, I finally faced my fears. What if it didn't match the rest of my hair? Would I have a totally different color where the roots had grown out? As with most things in life, you won't know unless you try. I picked the shade that seemed to most closely match my hair color. I purposely waited for a time when I had no plans, in case it didn't look good. I put on the gloves as provided in the package, then mixed the color. It didn't look anything like my hair color and I was very nervous. I had come this far and decided I was going through with it. I anxiously applied it with the little brush that Clairol privides. I set the timer and waited, fearful that I'd made a big mistake. (I've colored my own hair in the past with disastrous results, so I had good reason to be nervousl) After the timer went off, I rinsed my hair and then came the moment of truth. It looked pretty good as I combed it, but the real test came when it was dry. I began blow-drying and much to my surprise, it matched perfectly!! I could not tell where the old hair color ended and Root Touch-Up had been used. I was thrilled and have been a faithful user of this product since that day. My only complaint is that it wears off faster than I expected. Within 2 weeks it's faded out, but if you need a fast touch-up or just want to extend the time between full coloring, this is the product for you. Maybe now I'll get the guts to try coloring the rest of my hair on my own again??

Update Posted on :

I have medium brown hairĀ and use #5 and it matches my salon color perfectly.

I love this product and use it for my in between times! I don't think it's meant to last a long time since I usually color my hair every 4-5 weeks. Glad you liked it and the color matched!

This sounds like a good product for in between colorings.
