Rota Dent Electric Toothbrush By moonbeam973 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My dentist recommended this to me, and I purchased mine right in his office. It was expensive (around $100 - it may have been a little more - it's been a while, so I can't remember exactly), but it is an investment I'm glad I made. I've had my Rota-Dent for over 3 years now, and I certainly got my money's worth out of it. You know how clean and smooth your teeth feel after a professional cleaning? Well, using the Rota-Dent on a daily basis will help keep your teeth feeling that way between regular dental cleanings. The polishing effect breaks up surface stains to keep your smile bright and shiny. I usually have to recharge it every two weeks or more, and I can tell when it needs to be charged, because it spins slower and is less effective. It came with the unit itself (the handle), 3 brush heads (2 flat heads, and 1 pointy head), the charger, a tongue cleaner, and a convenient stand for the unit and brush heads. The brush heads need to be replaced every 6 months or so, and I can usually find them on e-bay for a better price than what I pay at the dentist's office.

Ah, I was not aware these were available in stores - good to know! More reasonably priced? I'll have to take a look next time I'm in KMart.
