Roti Maker And Me By himrav on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Roti maker was so attractive in the stalls that the companies hold. But it was unbelievable to see such good rotis coming out of it. I had always believed that the rotis came well because the sales people were well trained. The claims they made were also too good to be true.

One day, I did buy one, on the recommendation of my cousin, with all apprehensions about whether it would work just as the salesmen claimed. My main pupose was to reduce the time spent on flattening the dough and make hands free rotis. To my surprise, I just got what I wanted, or perhaps even better.

There was a technique to mix the dough, which the salesman explained. He mixed the dough with the tip of his fingers. He also showed me to make stuffed rotis.

Now, I regularly make rotis in the morning rush hour, too. I use healthier options for stuffing, like raddish, cauliflower, cottage cheese, etc.
