The Royal P30 Electric Pencil Sharpener is the best one that I have ever owned and I have gone through quite a few over the years. It sharpens pencils and colored pencils quick and with such precision and sharpness. It has helical steel cutting blades that do the job and I assume will never break or become dull. I love the fact that the shavings receptacle is see through and you can tell when it is getting full. It opens very easily and the spill factor is non-existent unless I let my son help. It is even easy for a child to use and safe since none of the sharpening parts are accessible to little fingers. Now Royal has the P40 model which I would trust as well. It appears that the only difference is a slight modification in the design. It plugs in and does not take batteries. I highly recommend this pencil sharpener. It will be the last one you will buy unless you get one for a friend.
