With the ever looming threat of identity theft it is now more important than ever to discard of your personal information properly. I purchased a Royal Paper Shredder because it promised fast shredding, many pages at a time, at an extremely reasonable price (less than $30).

What I found with the Royal Paper Shredder is that is does not shred 5 sheets at one time. What is does is shred about two to three sheets at a single time taking about 12 minutes to do so and making more noise than a sink garbage disposal. If you put 4 or 5 sheets of paper into this shredder the paper will become stuck in the teeth. This happened to me after using the Royal Shredder only twice. The paper became so stuck that I actually can not get it out of the teeth. I would not recommend this shredder to anyone.
