Royal Velvet Towels Fit For Royalty! By Demon_Buttercup on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I received my first set of Royal Velvet bath towels as a gift and I was impressed the moment I opened the package. What I loved the most was the color, black! I have an almost gothic-looking bathroom in deep burgandy and black with wrought iron decor and the towels went with it perfectly. I didn't even know they made black towels, I certainly have never seen them at Target!

Since they were a gift, I couldn't ask how much the towels cost, but I was able to get a location, Kohls. I went to hunt for more. When I found the huge display of Royal Velvet towels, I was almost overwhelmed by their color selections! Just about every color you could imagine was available! I admit that after looking at the colors, the next thing I looked at was the price. I was a little taken back by the thought of spending $15 on a single bath towel, but decided to splurge and bought a couple more.

The towels are very thick and absorbant and do a great job drying you off. However, I did find that the colors do start to fade after about 6 months of washing. The black was the worst, but that seems to happen with most black fabrics after several washings. Otherwise overall, they have held up quite well. After about a year, none have started to fray or get much thinner. I'm just about ready to go load up on some new ones, as I've been very happy with these.
