Rubbermaid Hose Hideaway By Tina Lehman on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

We have a rather large yard, and a single water spigot on either end of the house. Needless to say we have a lot of hoses that we use to water plants, wash cars, and fill buckets. We purchased the Rubbermaid Hose Hideaway last summer to house our hoses.

It is very easy to wind your hoses up into the Hose Hideaway. One end of the hose is connected to the spigot, and the other end comes out a slot in the top. There is a crank on the side of the box that allows you to simply turn it to retract the hose.

The Hose Hideaway is very durable, as are many Rubbermaid products. I like that you can put a bucket or a flower pot on the top of the box while you are using the hose, thus eliminating a lot of bending over.

I was a little resistant to spending this much money on something to put our hoses in, but think in the long run we will save a lot of hoses from being weather-damaged and ruined from kinking.

That is a really cute hose hider! We just use an old rim. It doesn't hide it, but it is a good wrap around to keep the hoses neat and in place.

This is what we need! I hate having the hose curled up on the ground!
