Rust-o-leum Paint is great for outdoor projects
By momincharge onMy husband wanted to have our house number painted on a decorative rock that was placed beneath our mailbox near the corner of our driveway.I was completely uncertain about what type of paint I should purchase.Obviously interior paint would not be a good choice and I didn't think craft paint would last long so I asked the clerk at the paint counter for a suggestion.
I was handed a small can of Rust-o-leum Painter's Touch Multipurpose Paint. The can held more paint than I would need for my small project would was large enough that I could have completed a much larger project without running out of paint.
The instructions indicate that it is long lasting and works on many different surfaces so I gave it a try.
The paint was easy to apply with a paintbrush. It went on smoothly and was a good thickness.
The number I painted on the rock is still crisp and clear after six years of exposure to sun, wind, rain and snow.
I have recommended this paint to friends who have asked what I used to paint the number and would not hesitate to recommend it in the future.

Rustoleum? Wow...I would have never thought to use this on a rock. I am glad you told me because I need to paint the numbers on my curb again. I think the person who painted it last year used regular paint...which keeps fading away. What a great tip!
